Why recharge
Every monsoon, rooftop water that runs into the drain could be going back into the aquifer your pump draws from. Recharged bores hold up far better in summer.
Do it with filtration
Never send unfiltered roof water straight down a bore. A desilting chamber and filter media are essential, or you will silt the bore you meant to save.
